Outdoor: NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence … Placed fifth in the 400m hurdles at the NSIC Outdoor Track & Field Championships on May 14 … Ran a personal-best time of 1:02.59 in the 400m hurdles at the Deb Schulz Open on May 6 … Ran a personal-best time of 14.79 in the 100m hurdles at the Maverick Open … Ran a personal best time of 1:01.00 in the 400m dash at the Dordt Invite on Apr. 2.
2020-21 (Sophomore):
Indoor: Academic All NSIC ... Placed eighth at the NCAA Indoor Championships in the pentathlon scoring 3,682 points … National qualifier in the pentathlon … Earned USTFCCCA All-Central Region honors in the pentathlon ... Had a personal-best in the pentathlon at the NSIC Championships on Feb. 27 scoring 3,709 points … Had three personal-best enroute to a first place finish in the pentathlon at the conference meet coming in the 60m hurdles, high jump, and shot put.
Outdoor: NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence … Threw a personal best 109-2 in the javelin at the NSIC & Friends Outdoor Challenge on May 1 … Ran personal bests in the 200 and 100m hurdles with times of 26.60 and 15.11, respectively, at the Maverick Classic on May 7.
2019-20 (Freshman):
Indoor: Earned USTFCCCA All-America honors in the pentathlon... National Qualifier in the pentathlon… Earned USTFCCCA All-Central Region honors in the pentathlon… Earned All-NSIC honors with a first-place finish in the pentathlon with a score of 3,692 points, good for the sixth best score in the country at the NSIC Championships… Finished in first place in the 60 meter hurdles at the SDSU DII Invitational on Jan. 24 with a time of 8.99… Placed fifth in the pentathlon at the SDSU Holiday Invite and second at the Mark Schuck Open.
Outdoor: Earned USTFCCCA All-Academic honors... Season canceled due to COVID-19
High School: Schaefer graduated from Rapid City Stevens High School in May of 2019. As a junior, she won the state title in the 100m and 300m hurdles, won the MVP of the state track meet and was her team’s athlete of the year. As a freshman and sophomore, she also won the state title in the 300m hurdles. She won the state title in the 100m hurdles as a freshman and placed second as a sophomore.
Personal: Schaefer was born on Sept. 14, 2000 in Rapid City, South Dakota, to parents Troy and Kim. She has two siblings, Gregory and Steven, and enjoys hiking, working out, hanging out with friends and going to the lake. She plans to major in Biology while at Augustana.
