High School: Heger graduated from Bemidji High School in May of 2021. Last summer, Heger hit .487 with one homer, six doubles, and a 1-1 record on the mound. During fall ball in 2020, Heger tallied a 7-2 record on the mound.

Personal: Heger was born in Albuquerque, New Mexico, to parents Jana and Roger Heger. He has an older sibling and plans to major in exercise science while at Augustana.
