Dan Morrison enters his eighth year on the Augie coaching staff in 2024. Morrison enjoyed a productive playing career for the Vikings as an outfielder and pitcher from 2006-2010. Through his five years with the Vikings, he batted .306 with 82 hits, which included 12 home runs. During his senior season he batted .325 with eight home runs and 32 runs batted in. As a player, Coach Morrison was part of the turnaround of Augie baseball. In his freshman season (2007) the Vikings had a 16-23 record, compared to his senior year, in which the team went 34-22. At the time, 34 wins was a school record.

Coach Morrison works primarily the outfielders on a daily basis.

Dan graduated from Augustana in 2010 with a degree in Business Administration. He also previously served as the President of the Sioux Falls Cyclones for two years. He currently serves on the board for the Cyclones.

Dan and his wife, Jordan, reside in Sioux Falls with their children, Charlotte (2) and Peyton (newborn).
