Zach joined the Augustana coaching staff in 2019 after a five year playing career for the Vikings (2013-17). Dibble started 130 games in his AU career as a middle-infielder. In 2013 Dibble was named to the NSIC Gold Glove team at shortstop as a true freshman. Over his five years Zach collected 93 hits and had a fielding percentage of .927. His 152 assists in 2014 rank second in a season in AU history. The 2014 team qualified for the NCAA regional and had a then school record 41 wins. In his career, Dibble helped the Vikings to 190 wins (includes medical redshirt year), an NSIC Tournament Championship and the first NCAA postseason victory in school history.

In 2024, Augustana concluded its season in the NCAA Central Regional with a 47-10 record, the second-best win percentage and tying the second-most wins in program history. Their 18 game win-streak in the middle of the season also stands as the longest in program history. They also won their fourth NSIC regular season title and fourth NSIC Tournament title. It was the second time in program history they were able to do both in the same season. As a team, the 2024 bunch earned the most regular season wins in program history, had the highest slugging percentage, scored the most runs, and tied the program record for single-season home runs. They were plunked more than any team, the staff had the most strikeouts per nine innings, and broke the program record for pickoffs in a single season.

The 2023 season saw the continuation of success for the Vikings, closing the season 47-21 overall and 28-8 in NSIC action. Augustana edged out Minnesota State to claim the NSIC regular season championship and earned a trip to the NCAA Central Region Tournament for the fouth consecutive season with coach Dibble on staff. The Vikings went 3-0 in the Central Region Tournament before hosting an NCAA Super Regional, where they would knock off Minnesota State to advance to the DII College World Series.

In 2022, the Vikings held an overall record of 47-13-1 and a conference record of 31-5. Augustana defeated Minnesota State to win the NSIC regular season championship. The Vikings finished second at the NSIC tournament to earn a berth to the NCAA Central Region Tournament. AU went 3-1 at the Central Region Tournament, moving on to the NCAA Super Regional.

Dibble helped guide the Vikings to a 36-13 record in 2021 en route to a second-place finish in the NSIC standings and tournament in addition to a berth at the NCAA Central Region Tournament.

Dibble helped guide the 2020 Vikings to a 9-4 record in which the season was cut short due to COVID-19.

Dibble helped guide the 2019 squad to a 43-16 record, NSIC regular season championship, NSIC tournament championship and NCAA Central Regional Championship. 

Coach Dibble works daily with infielders and also assists with baserunning and as a hitting coach.

Graduated from Augustana in 2017 with degrees in Accounting and Business. Zach and his wife, Megan, reside in Sioux Falls.
