High School Notes: Darek enters his senior year as a three-year starter … as a junior he batted .269 picking up 28 hits in 104 at-bats including two home runs… helped his team to a 19-16 record, and a runner-up finish at the Sioux South City June Tournament … as a sophomore he helped lead his team to a 28-12 record, regional title and was a state runner-up finish … in 131 at-bats he earned 33 hits and posted an average of .252 with one home run … as a freshman he hit .408 in 98 at-bats with 40 hits … he had 28 RBIs and helped lead his team to a 26-5 record and a conference title
