2023: NSIC Champion … helped AU advance to the Division II College World Series … NCBWA All-Central Region Honorable Mention … All-NSIC Second Team … NSIC Player of the Week (Feb. 21) … started all 65 games he appeared in … led the team with a .350 batting average with a .544 slugging percentage and a .458 on-base percentage … finished 10th in the nation with six triples… ranked 37th in the nation and second in the NSIC with 83 hits … also slugged six home runs while driving in 44 RBI … stole 20 bases … recorded 26 multi-hit games … went 4-4 with a home run, a pair of doubles, and four RBIs against Northern State on April 4.
2022: Named to the NSIC All-Conference Second-Team…Named to the 2022 NSIC All-Tournament team…Played in 50 games while making 46 starts…Tallied 61 hits, 12 doubles, three triples and 10 home runs…Scored 46 runs for the Vikings…Totaled 38 RBI…Stole eight bases on 10 attempts.
Before Augustana: Spent his first two college baseball seasons at McHenry County College in Crystal Lake, Illinois … was a team captain his second year, hit 10 home runs, had 69 RBI, and had a .452 batting average.
High School: Hines is a 2019 graduate of Willowbrook High School where he was a four-year starter, team captain his senior year, and won two conference championships and two regional championships with his team … earned All-State accolades his senior year and had a .462 batting average.
Personal: Son Andrea and Tim … he has two brothers, Will and Evan, and enjoys fishing and basketball. While at Augustana, Jack plans to major in Biology.
