2023: NSIC Champion … helped AU advance to the Division II College World Series … CSC Academic All-District … Academic All-NSIC … started all 44 games he appeared in … batted .295 with a .410 on-base percentage and a .637 slugging percentage … slugged 13 home runs, drove in 42 runs, and scored 35 runs … recorded 12 multi-RBI games and 10 multi-hit games … went 3-7 with a home run and a pair of doubles while driving in four runs against Upper Iowa on April 23 … went 2-4 with a pair of home runs, seven RBI, and three runs scored against Winona State on May 2 … in a winner-take-all Super regional game, went 4-5 with a pair doubles and three RBI against Minnesota State on May 27.
2022: Named to the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence…Played in 19 games for the Vikings while making six starts…Tallied seven hits, one double and two RBI.
2021: Played in 21 games and started seven games for the Vikings… Hit two homers and two doubles… NSIC All-Academic.
2020: Did not appear in any games in shortened season due to COVID-19.
High School: Meiners graduated from Caledonia High School in June of 2019. As a senior, he hit .470 with an OBP of .618, seven home runs and 20 stolen bases en route to an All-State, First Team All-Area, All-Section, All-Conference and Academic All-State season. As a junior, he hit .430 with seven doubles, two triples, two home runs, 15 stolen bases and had a 1.16 ERA on the mound. He was named to the all-conference and all-section teams. As a sophomore he hit .389 with 12 doubles, two home runs, 26 RBI and 13 stolen bases en route to another all-conference season. In addition to baseball, Meiners won four state championships in football.
Personal: Meiners was born on Mar. 20, 2001, to parents Todd and Angie Meiners. He has two siblings, Thane and Alyssa, and likes hunting, fishing, wakeboarding and tubing when he is not on the baseball field. He plans to major in Pre-PA or Nursing at Augustana and plans to work in a hospital in his hometown of Caledonia afterwards.
