Brayden Kearsley joined the Augustana football staff in 2024 as the offensive line coach. He joined Jerry Olszewski’s staff after spending the 2023 season at Brigham Young University.
In his first season at Augustana, Kearsley helped lead the Vikings to an NSIC Championship. He helped mentor a trio of All-NSIC performers in C.J. James (First Team), Brock Fox (First Team) and Corbin Wirkus (Second Team). The offensive line protected a rushing attack that touted the Offensive Player of the Year and an efficient quarterback that was sacked less than 1.4 times per game.
While at BYU, Kearsley served as an offensive line graduate assistant where he communicated the front, blitz and stunts to the offensive line coach. He oversaw all pass-pro individual drills for a team that ranked 28th in the nation in pass protection.
Prior to BYU, he spent the 2022 season as an offensive line graduate assistant at Oklahoma State where he helped lead the scout team at practice. He led daily scout team meetings and held press box communication duties on gamedays.
He helped the Cowboys earn a spot in the Guaranteed Rate Bowl.
Kearsley also held positions at North Dakota, Southwestern Oklahoma State and Independence Community College.
As a student-athlete, Kearsley spent two years at BYU where he played as a true freshman and sophomore including a start his freshman season. He then went to Oregon State where he served as the backup center.
He garnered his degree in interdisciplinary studies from Southwestern Oklahoma State.
