Jake Lee

Jake Lee begins his first year as a full-time staff member with Augustana football. Lee will coach the interior defensive line and serve as an equipment manager for the Vikings in 2017. Lee, a 2014 Augustana graduate, spent two seasons as a graduate assistant coach. 
 
Lee was a four-year letterwinner and starter on the defensive line for the Vikings. He was a team captain his senior season, a two-time All-NSIC selection and earned first team honors in 2013 and honorable mention honors as a senior. Lee was also named to the Don Hansen All-Central Region Third Team following his junior season.
 
Lee played in 46 career games, making 32 starts at defensive tackle, and recorded 129 tackles and 8.0 sacks during his career. He recorded a career-high 10 tackles in a game twice during his career once at Minnesota State on Oct. 12, 2013 and once against SMSU on Nov. 15, 2014. Lee registered 48 career solo tackles and forced and recovered three fumbles.
 
Lee graduated from Blue Earth Area High School in 2009 where he was a three-year starter and team captain senior season. He recorded 106 career tackles and was a two-time all-conference performer.
 
Lee resides in Sioux Falls and is pursuing his Master’s Degree in sports management and leadership at Augustana.
