Jamari Manuel joined the Augustana football coaching staff prior to the 2022 season while working with the cornerbacks.

In 2023, Manuel helped the Vikings earn an NSIC Championship while coaching three All-NSIC defensive backs in Peyton Buckley, JayVian Farr and Jake Polson. Buckley was also named First Team Academic All-America and Second Team All-Amercia by the CCA, D2Football.com and AFCA. 
 
In the secondary, he helped tutor Eli Weber Peyton Buckley to all-NSIC honors. The duo each received all-region accolades with Weber earning a Second Team AFCA All-America honor.
 
Manuel played for St. Cloud State where he was a team captain while current Augustana Defensive Coordinator Mark Sipple was the coordinator at SCSU. He earned an honorable mention to the All-NSIC team in 2018 after recording 58 tackles and an interception as a defensive back.
 
Manuel earned his bachelor of science in criminal justice from St. Cloud state in May of 2019 while earning a minor in psychology.
 
After his graduation, Manuel served as a behavior support specialist at St. Cloud Tech High School before joining the Vikings’ staff.
