Robbie Rouse enters his first season as a member of the Augustana football staff, and will be in charge of coaching the running backs. Rouse, a 2013 graduate from California State University, Fresno, joins Augustana after spending 2017 coaching at the University of St. Scholastica. Rouse coached the running backs, tight ends, wide receivers, and returners.
The San Diego, California native also worked as the running backs coach at Riggs Football Academy in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. During his tenure with the Riggs Football Academy, Rouse trained players of all ages on pass blocking, catching the ball out of the backfield and improving their footwork.Â
Rouse was a four year member of the football team at the University of Fresno State, where he played running back and is the program's all-time leading rusher. In four years at Fresno State, Rouse rushed for a total of 4,647 yards and 37 rushing touchdowns. He also had 794 receiving yards, five receiving touchdowns, and one passing touchdown. Rouse graduated in 2013 with a Bachelor of Arts in Recreation Administration.
Rouse resides in Sioux Falls and is pursuing a master’s degree in sports administration and leadership at Augustana.
