Augustana University Athletics

Shane Yates is in his first season as a graduate assistant coach with the Augustana football program in 2010.  He is responsible for coaching the defensive backs.

A native of Fremont, Neb., and 2006 graduate of Augustana with a degree in business administration, Yates played cornerback for the Vikings from 2002 to 2006.  He accumulated 102 tackles and 17 pass break-ups during his career.

Yates, who resides in Sioux Falls, is currently pursuing his master's degree in sports administration and leadership at Augustana.
