Cade Stackpool joined the Vikings men’s basketball staff in the summer of 2017 as a graduate assistant shortly after graduating magna cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in excercise science from the University of Wisconsin-Superior.
A Virginia, Minnesota native, Stackpool played for one season at Mesabi Range Community College, where his dad Tom works as the head coach. From there, he went on to UW-Superior, where he played for under head coach Paul Eberhardt for two seasons.
Stackpool played in all 51 games over two years for the Yellowjackets, with 25 starts, before an injury cut his playing career short.
A third-generation coach, Stackpool started his coaching career as a student assist at UW-Superior, assisting the staff with recruiting, practice, player development, game preparation and scouting reports.
