Jackson McLaughlin joined the Augustana men's basketball coaching staff in June of 2024 as the graduate assistant coach.
Before joining Coach Schilling’s staff, McLaughlin served as a student manager for the University of Iowa men’s basketball team under Coach Fran McCaffery spanning from 2020-2024.
During his tenure with the program, the Hawkeyes won 86 games, the 2022 Big Ten Tournament Championship, appeared three times in NCAA Tournaments, and most recently appearing in the National Invitation Tournament.
While with the Hawkeyes, McLaughlin assisted in the development of four NBA draft picks, Luka Garza (2021), Joe Wieskamp (2021), Keegan Murray (2022), and Kris Murray (2023).
Jackson received his B.S in Sport and Recreation Management this past spring from the University of Iowa and will be beginning his graduate degree in Sport Administration and Leadership at Augustana this fall.
McLaughlin is the only child of Marcus and Lynette, and is a native of Pleasant Valley, Iowa. He currently resides in Sioux Falls.
