Jeff Trumbauer

Jeff Trumbauer enters his fifth season as an assistant coach at Augustana in 2014-15. Trumbauer was the top assistant at Augustana for the 2003-04 season before spending six seasons as the head coach at Jamestown College. Trumbauer returned to Augustana for the 2010-11 campaign, and was named assistant head coach prior to the 2012-13 season.

Trumbauer has helped lead Augustana to three straight NCAA Tournament appearances and three top-five finishes in the NSIC.

He has also been an assistant coach at Northern State (1998-1999), Minnesota State Moorhead (1999-2002) and Dartmouth (2002-2003).

During his tenure at Jamestown, Trumbauer turned the Jimmies into a power in the Dakota Athletic Conference.  In 2008, he led JC to the DAC championship and was named the conference's coach of the year.  His team went on to earn an NAIA national tournament bid in 2008.  Two years later, Trumbauer guided his squad to the DAC Tournament title and a second berth in the national tournament.

Trumbauer's Jimmies gained the reputation of having a potent offense.  During the 2007-08 season, JC averaged 81 points per game and shot 50 percent from the field and 42 percent from behind the arc.  Several of Trumbauer's players found their way into the school record book following the 2007-08 campaign.

Trumbauer's student-athletes have shined more than just on the floor.  In his six years at the school, his players averaged a 3.15 grade point average.  Equally impressive, every one of his players graduated.

A native of Battle Lake, Minn., Trumbauer received his bachelor's degree in physical education from North Dakota State in 1998 and his master's in education from Northern State in 1999.

Trumbauer and his wife, Jodi, live in Sioux Falls with their daughters, Katelyn (9) and Leah (7), and sons Joe (4) and Andrew (6 months).
