Augustana University Athletics

Makaleb McInnis joined the Augustana staff as a graduate assistant in the fall of 2020. The Bremerton, Washington, native joined the Vikings after graduating from Black Hills State in December of 2019.

As a player at BHSU, he started 28 games his senior year averaging 10.2 points per game and 3 rebounds per game. He helped lead the Yellow Jackets to the RMAC Tournament championship game as a senior, after BHSU hosted its first-ever playoff game in the Division II era. 

Before arriving at Black Hills State, McInnis received his Associate of Arts degree at Pierce College where he was a team captain for his freshman and sophomore campaigns and was named First Team All-League his sophomore season. 

McInnis earned his Bachelor’s of Business Administration at Black Hills State University. He is pursuing his master’s degree in Sports Administration and Leadership at Augustana and resides in Sioux Falls.
