High School: Gedik is a three-year letterwinner and two-year captain for Omaha Westside. As a junior, he averaged 15.0 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game while earning a spot on the All-State Tournament team and was an All-Conference Second Team selection. The Warriors were Class-A State runners-up.

Personal: Emre is the son of Angela and Kaan Gedik. He plans to major in finance and pre-med at Augustana.
