Biography

2021-22: NSIC Champion … Regional Finalist …  played in 21 games for the Vikings … NSIC Myles Brand Award Recipient … part of NSIC All-Academic Team … recorded two points and two rebounds at UMary (Jan. 15) … made a first-half layup to start a run against No. 19 Upper Iowa (Feb. 5). 

2021 (Senior): Played in three games, scoring five points … scored first-career free throws, going 2-of-2 against Concordia-St. Paul (Jan. 16) … scored a 3-point basket against Concordia-St. Paul (Jan. 15) … owned 1:0 assist-to-turnover ratio.

2019-20 (Junior): Saw action in 10 games … scored first-career field goal against Nebraska Christian (Nov. 25) … sank two 3-point baskets in win at Concordia-St. Paul (Jan. 24) as part of a career-high six points … secured a pair of rebounds at Minnesota Crookston (Dec. 13).

2018-19 (Sophomore): Played in 16 minutes for Augustana in 11 games … finished 1-of-2 from the free throw line … pulled down five total rebounds, including one offensive rebounds … played a career-high four minutes at Northern State (1/18/19).

2017-18 (Freshman): Did not see action for Augustana.

High School: 2017 graduate of Brandon Valley High school in Brandon, South Dakota…Scholten helped led the Lynx to a 16-9 finish in 2017… A multi-sport athlete, Scholten also played football and ran track at Brandon Valley. In 2016-17, Scholten was named an Academic All-Star for his efforts in the classroom at Brandon Valley…was also actively involved in chorus and served as an FCA huddle leader.
 
Personal: Son of Stacy and Kelly ... father, Kelly, is on the Vikings' football coaching staff ... mother, Stacy, is the daughter of former Viking football head coach, Jim Heinitz ... brother, Thomas, is a 2020 signee to the Viking football program as a quarterback ... earning a degree in business administration and accounting.
