2023-2024:
Indoor: Ran a personal best in the 60m dash at the SDSU Indoor Classic with a time of 7.17.
Outdoor: Ran a personal best in the 100m with a time of 10.91 at the Maverick Open… Competed at the 2024 NSIC Outdoor Track and Field Championships.

2022-23:
Indoor: Ran a personal best in the 300m at the Mark Schuck Open with a time of 38.24… ran a personal best in the 400m at the Bison Open with a time of 54.16… ran a personal best in the 60m at the SDSU Last Chance with a time of 7.21
Outdoor: Placed second at the Jim Duncan Invite in the 4x100m with a time of 41.42

2021-22:
Indoor: Ran personal-bests in the 60m and the 400m at the SDSU Indoor Classic on Feb. 11-12, running 7.23 and 56.51 … Ran a personal-best in the 200m at the SDSU Holiday Open & Multi on Dec. 3-4, running 23.06.
Outdoor: Ran the anchor leg of the 4x100m relay team that placed fourth at the NSIC Outdoor Track & Field Championships … Ran personal-bests in the 100m dash and 200m dash at the Deb Schulz Open on May 6, running 11.08 and 22.55, respectively.

High School: Graduated from St. Charles High School in May of 2021. In his freshman season, Berends was a part of Saint Charles 4x200m relay team that broke the school record. Holds 11.57 personal best in the 100m and 23.9 in the 200m. Helped Saint Charles win the True Team State Meet his sophomore year.

Personal: Son to Jerry and Amy Berends ... Born on 07/01/2002 in Rochester, Minn. ... Berends plans to major in nursing while at Augustana.
