Kayla Hatting

Kayla Hatting is in her second season as a graduate assistant on the Augustana softball staff in 2015-16.
 
Hatting comes to Augustana from Luther College in Decorah, Iowa where she was a four-year letterwinner and starter for the Norse. She was named co-captain of her team as a junior and senior and was named to the All-Midwest Region Third Team in 2014. Hatting was a member of two conference championship teams (2011 and 2012) and helped her team to four straight Iowa Intercollegiate Athletic Conference Tournament Championships, four straight regional championships and four straight national tournament appearances.
 
She batted .330 her senior season in 2014 with 38 hits, including two doubles, one triple and 15 RBI. Hatting compiled a career batting average of .318 at Luther and was a four-time Academic All-Conference honoree and three-time NFCA All-America Scholar Athlete.
 
She was also a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, Student Athletic Advisory Committee and Luther Athletes Serving Others. In 2013, Hatting was selected for the 2013 Career in Sports Forum in Indianapolis, Ind.
 
Hatting served as the junior varsity head coach and assistant varsity softball coach at Gehlen Catholic School in LeMars, Iowa from 2011 to 2014.
 
Hatting resides in Sioux Falls and is pursuing her master’s degree in sports administration and leadership at Augustana.
