Erin Benson, enters her second season as a graduate assistant coach for the Augustana women’s basketball program in 2019-20.

Benson, a 2018 graduate of Augustana University, previously served as a student-assistant for the Vikings in 2016-17 and 2017-18. In 2018, she helped the Vikings win the NSIC Tournament, qualify for the NCAA Tournament and make it to the Sweet-16, posting a 29-4 record.

In her role as a graduate assistant, Benson will help to prepare scouting reports, assist in recruiting, work with the posts and guards in player development, and fulfill practice and game day responsibilities.

Before serving as a student-assistant with Augustana, Benson was a two-year member on the Vikings and played her high school basketball at Chester.

Benson earned undergraduate degree in business administration and sports management. She resides in Sioux Falls and is pursuing her master’s degree in sports administration and leadership.
