Chris Parno enters his second season as a graduate assistant with the Augustana cross country and track and field programs in 2011-12.
A native of River Falls, Wis., Parno is a former member of the Minnesota Duluth track and field team. While with the Bulldogs, he earned All-Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference honors seven times and captured the NSIC title in the 400-meter hurdles as a junior. Parno also competed in the heptathlon, decathlon and 4x400-meter relay.
Parno earned bachelor's degrees in physical education and health education from UMD in 2010. He is currently pursuing his master's in sports administration and leadership at Augustana.
