2023-2024: Academic All NSIC. Competed on three relays at the NCAA Division 2 Championships. At the NSIC Championships, Makoa earned a runner-up finish in the 50 Free (23.51), as well as fifth place in the 100 Free (51.92), and 10th in the 200 Free (1:54.76). Her 50 Free and 100 Free times this season earned her NCAA B-Cuts in those events.

2022-2023: Academic All NSIC. Competed at NCAA Division 2 Championships. At the NSIC Championships, earned runner-up finish in the 50 Free (23.95). At the Augustana Invitational, Makoa went personal bests in the 50 Free (23.60) and the 100 Free (52.40). Her 50 Free time earned her an NCAA B-Cut.

2021-22: At the NSIC Championships, Makoa took 10th place in the 500 Free (5:11.12), 12th place in the 50 Free (23.84), and 15th in the 100 Free (53.40). Her 50 Free prelim time, 23.81, earned her her first ever NCAA B-Cut.
