Indoor: Academic All NSIC… Myles Brand All-Academic Distinction Award Winner… Earned a first place finish in the 3,000m (11:19.62) at the SDSU Last Chance on Feb. 15.
Outdoor: Academic All NSIC… Earned a 10th place finish (40:35.35) in the 10,000m at the NSIC Outdoor Championships on May 11… Ran a season best 1,500m (5:23.08) at the Dordt College Outdoor Invitational on Apr. 6.
2017-18 (Sophomore):
Indoor: Did not compete in indoor events.
Outdoor: Ran a season best 5,000m (19:15.90) at the Howard Wood Dakota Relays on May 5... Earned a third place finish in the 5,000m (19:24.64) at the Mount Marty Twilight on Apr. 25.
2016-17 (Redshirt Freshman)
Indoor: Finished in 11th in the 3,000-meters at the NSIC Championships (Feb. 24) with a personal record time of 10:34.71 … set a personal best at the SDSU Classic (Feb. 11) in the mile with a time of 5:28.50.
Outdoor: Did not compete.
2015-16 (Freshman)
Indoor: Redshirt season.
Outdoor: Redshirt season.
High School: A 2015 graduate of Sky View High School ... three-year letterwinner ... three-time cross country state qualifier ... set the school record in the three mile race clocking a time of 17:25 ... earned a sixth-place finish her senior year at the state cross country championship ... recorded a school record in the 3200-meter race (11:21) finishing seventh at state.
Personal: Daughter of J.D. and Tammie Nelson … born March 2, 1997 … planned nursing major.
