Junior (2017): Place started in all 32 matches in 2017 … She was tabbed to the Second Team All-NSIC squad and earned academic All-NSIC honors during her junior campaign … Place led the Vikings with 449 kills on the season and ranked third in the conference … Her 3.81 kills per set led the team and was sixth in the NSIC … She was second on the team with a .281 hitting percentage … She had a career-high 26 kills vs. Upper Iowa on Oct. 28 … Courtney had a career-high 21 digs twice during the season, which the last 21 dig performance coming on Sept. 19 vs. Lindenwood … Place also had a career-high five blocks vs. Eastern New Mexico and Sioux Falls on Sept. 17 … Place helped Augustana win 23 matches, including victories over three top-10 teams and a trip to the NSIC semifinal round.

Sophomore (2016): All-NSIC First Team … started 30 of the 32 matches she played in this year … began her Augustana career with five straight double-digit kill games, including 21 against No. 3 Palm Beach Atlantic which tied her career-high … had four double-doubles on the year … earned 21 kills three times … averaged 3.32 kills per set … had a season best 16 digs against Wayne State, three assists and 22.5 points against Winona State and two service aces against Southwest Minnesota State … ended the season with 402 kills, a .232 hitting percentage, 28 assists, seven service aces, 195 digs, 59 total blocks and 438.5 points

Before Augustana: Courtney helped lead the University of North Dakota to a 21-13 record as a freshman … She finished third on the team in kills with 361, just six kills shy of leading the team … She had career-high for kills in a match with 21 against Southern Utah … Courtney finished fourth on the team in assists with 19 … Was sixth on the team in total blocks with 41 on the season, that included two solo blocks … Scored 410.5 points on the season which was the third best mark on the team … Finished second on the team in services aces with 28 … Courtney was third on the team in digs with 293 for the season … Named to the St. Louis Billikens All-Tournament Team.

High School: Courtney was a four year starter and letterwinner … 1A First team All-State honoree as a senior while earning All-State honorable mention as a junior … Five-time all-conference selection in volleyball ... Earned over 1000 kills during her high school career … Earned 425 blocks throughout her career …  … Also added 218 total blocks and 68 service aces in last two season ... A career .393 hitter ... Also a five-time all-conference pick in basketball and all-state in her final campaign ... Owns the school's hoops scoring record with over 2,000 points in her career.

Personal: Born on January 17, 1997 in Worthington, Minn. to Keith and Julie Place; she plans on majoring in Business with a minor in Sports Management with a career goal of one day creating her own volleyball club.
