Augustana University Athletics

2019-20 (Senior): Went 4-4 overall and 1-0 in duals at 165 pounds with one tech fall… Logged four takedowns, one reversal, four escapes, three two-point nearfalls, three four-point nearfalls and one riding time point.

2018-19 (Redshirt Junior): Sat out due to injury.

2017-18 (Sophomore): Academic All-NSIC selection ... NWCA All-Academic ... recorded an overall record of 17-12 as the Viking starter at 165 pounds ... had a dual record of 8-3 and a NSIC dual record of 6-1 ... went 1-2 at the Super Region 3 Championships ... finished in second at the Warrior-Vikings Open (Dec. 30) ... recorded 32 takedowns with 40 escapes and had four falls. 

2016-17 (Freshman): Finished the season with an overall record of 8-4 and had a dual record of 2-1 (2-0 NSIC) at 165 pounds … took second at the Warrior-Viking Open (Dec. 31) … recorded 11 takedowns and 19 escapes on the year. 

Before Augustana: Wrestled at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln for Mark Manning during the 2015-16 season… compiled a record of 9-4 before his season was cut short due to injury… was a member of the Tom Osborne Citizenship Team and the Student Athlete Advisory Committee.

High School: 2015 graduate of Vermillion High School… three-time state champion with a record of 171-23 during his high school career… went undefeated his senior year with a record of 51-0 with 32 pins and was never taken down… two-time region champ and four-time All-Conference honoree… four-year letterwinner and three-time team captain.

Personal: Son of Hazen and Lisa Bye… born in Mesa, Ariz. on Jan. 21, 1997… will major in Sports Management with a minor in Psychology with aspirations of becoming an Athletic Director.
