Augustana swimming and diving head coach Andrew Makepeace has announced the hiring of Augustana alumni Anna (Tindall) Dircks as an assistant coach in August of 2025.
Dircks was a member of the Augustana women’s swimming and diving program from 2021-2025. The three-time conference champion and senior captain had coached Sioux Falls Swim Team since 2022. There, she coached water and dryland practices while working with technique, pacing, race preparation and team culture.
Prior to Augustana, Dircks was a club assistant coach for the Nampa Swim Team. There, she spent five summers organizing practives and writing practice plans while developing as a communicator. She worked through scheduling and bounced ideas off of other coaches to benefit overall athlete development.
Dircks graduated from Augustana in 2024 with a Bacelors of Science in Nursing. This past academic year, she earned a masters in Sports Administration and Leadership.
