Katie Tonner (Jr., Esko, Minn./Esko H.S.) placed third in the women's pentathlon at the Minnesota State Open on Friday with a 3,088 point score.  Tonner finished second among attached competitors and set a new personal-best with her score while placing in the top five in four of the five events.  The junior fell just short of provisionally qualifying for the NCAA Championships.
