#10 Jenelle Trautmann (P, 5-8, So., Hastings, Minn./Hastings HS) set a career high in strikeouts and threw a one-hitter while recording a 4-1 record and 1.58 ERA. In Sarturday’s second leg of a doubleheader, Trautmann fanned 15 batters in the Vikings’ 8-5 win over MSU Mooread. In the first of two games against Northern State, Trautmann had a no-hitter through six innings before giving up a double to lead off the bottom of the seventh. Trautmann’s love loss came against Northern State in relief work where she surrendered the game-winning run, but it was unearned. Truatmann’s totals for the week were five appearances and four starts with two complete games. The sophomore hurler tallied 26.2 innings, giving up just 16 hits and only six earned runs while striking out 36 batters.
#10 Jenelle Trautmann (1B, 5-8, So., Hastings, Minn./Hastings HS) hit four home runs in six games and racked up eight runs batted in while batting .474 to start NSIC competition. The sophomore first baseman/utility player hit two home runs and drove in all three runs to help her own cause to defeat Northern State 3-1 as she also threw a one-hitter in the circle. Trautmann recorded a hit in each game she played, tallying eight total base hits, and arrived at an outstanding 1.235 slugging percentage over her five games. Trautmann has now hit 11 home runs on the season and is hitting .343 with 24 hits and am .886 slugging percentage.
