Hannah Gebauer (Sr., Sioux Falls, S.D./ Lincoln HS) went a perfect 5-0 over the weekend as the Vikings captured their fourth straight NSIC regular season championship. Gebauer improved her singles record to 14-1 with two more wins and a perfect 9-0 in conference play. Teaming up with Jessa Richards at No. 2 doubles, Gebauer won all three matches has posted an 18-1 record on the doubles side while running the table with a 12-0 mark in conference competition. To start the weekend for Gebauer, the senior defeated her MSU Moorhead opponent 6-0, 6-0 for her second straight double-bagel win in singles. Against the Dragons in doubles, Gebauer and Richards defeated the No. 2 MSUM pairing 8-1. On Sunday, Gebauer defeated Winona State as part of an NSIC-clinching victory over the Warriors. Gebauer won her No. 4 singles match 6-4 and was up 3-0 before her opponent retired in the second set. In doubles, Gebauer won 8-1 over the Warriors then defeated her Northern State opponents 8-2. Gebauer’s singles match against NSU was suspended due to rain after she won the first set, 6-1.
