#2 Nate Hewes (IF/OF, 5-10, 185, Sr., R/R, Stillwater, Minn./Stillwater Area HS) tied a single game record at Augustana with three home runs against Wayne State in the first game of a doubleheader on Friday. Hewes started off the game with a two-out grand slam in the bottom of the first inning and later hit a solo shot in the third inning. The senior blasted his third long ball of the game with a towering two-run home run over the left center field wall. Hewes finished the game with a career-high seven RBI, one shy of tying a single game record at Augustana. In Augustana’s six games last week, Hewes hit .389 with a .944 slugging percentage, finishing with seven hits in 18 at bats while scoring seven runs and driving in 12.
