#16 Tony Viger (3B, 6-2, 215, Sr., Sioux Falls, S.D. / O'Gorman HS) played a key role in the Vikings 6-0 week against NSIC competition. On Tuesday, Viger recorded six hits in nine at bats, including a tying a career-high with four hits in game two of a doubleheader against Upper Iowa. The Sioux Falls, S.D. native also had four RBI in the two-game series and scored three runs. Viger continued his offensive outburst in the Southwest Minnesota State series over the weekend, getting nine hits in 16 appearances at the plate. The former O'Gorman High School standout crushed three home runs in the series and drove in eight runs and had nine runs scored. Five of Viger's nine hits in the series were extra-base hits (three home runs, two doubles). For the week, the senior third baseman number's were something to see: .600 batting average (15 for 25) 12 runs scored, three doubles, one triple, three home runs, 12 RBI, 1.160 slugging percentage, .667 on-base percentage.
