#44Jack Goihl (C, 6-2, 215, Jr., Robbinsdale, Minn. / Robbinsdale Armstrong HS) gave the Vikings a huge presence at the plate, helping lead the team to its first ever NSIC Tournament Championship this past week. Goihl started his NSIC Tournament off with a 2-for-3 performance at the plate in a win against SMSU. The junior hit his ninth homerun in the win to go along with two RBI and three runs scored. The Robbinsdale, Minn. kept his hot start going in a 7-5 win against St. Cloud State on Thursday, going 2 for 4 with two RBI and a homer in the victory. Goihl turned in his third straight game with two hits in a win over Wayne State in the semifinals on Friday. The former Robbinsdale Armstrong high standout also belted his third bomb of the tournament during the game. Goihl then finished up his tournament by going 1 for 2 with a run scored against Winona State to secure the NSIC Tournament Championship for Augustana. The right-handed power hitter was named to the All-Tournament team for his dominant play in the four games. Goihl's statistical line was the following: .467 batting average, 6 RBI, 3 HR's, 7 runs scored, 2 SB.
