Patrick Fiala was part of a Viking attack that put up 61 runs in six wins this past week. The junior infielder went 2-for-2 with an RBI and two runs scored in a game-one win on Wednesday against Minnesota Crookston. Fiala tied a season high with five RBI in game two against the Golden Eagles as part of a 3-for-4 day at the plate, which included hitting his seventh home run on the year.
During the Southwest Minnesota State series, Fiala really had his swing going, recording at least two hits in every game as Augustana picked up the four-game sweep of the Mustangs.
For the week, Fiala posted a .700 batting average (14 for 20), belted one double, smacked two home runs, tallied 12 RBI, had a 1.050 slugging percentage, and a .667 on-base percentage.
