Sydney Rome is a junior guard for the women’s basketball team that is currently 11-3 overall and 5-3 in the NSIC. Rome is from Sioux Falls and played her high school ball at Roosevelt. Rome led the way for the Vikings in their last three games. She averaged a team-high 12.7 points per game, which included a season-high 20-points against Midland University on Dec. 29. Rome added a total of eight rebounds for an average of 2.7 rebounds per game. She was perfect from the charity stripe going 2-for-2. Rome’s biggest contribution was from behind the 3-point line. Rome shot 40 percent on 10-of-25 shooting for 30 of her 38 total points during the three game stretch. To go along with an impressive offensive display, Rome added 20 assists, five steals and a block.
