Alex Beals is a 6-3 junior outfielder and infielder for the Augustana baseball team and his hometown is Riverdale, Iowa. Beals was hitting everything thrown at him this past week as he lead the team with a .682 batting average over the teams six games against Winona State and Wayne State. In Beals’ 22 at-bats he totaled 15 hits, six of those were doubles and another was a home run. He was the only Viking to produce a slugging percentage over 1.000, Beals slugging percentage was 1.091. He drove in 10 runs while scoring 11 of his own. He got walked five times and only struck out once. He was perfect on the base paths going 2-of-2 in stolen base attempts. In the field he was also perfect convert all 17 putout chances.
