Kris Ashland corralled his first two hits of the series against Newman. On the weekend, Ashland went 2-7 with a home run and four RBI. Ashland's first hit of the season came in the second game against Newman and it was a big one resulting in a two-run home run. In Sunday's finale against Newman Ashland collected two more RBI to help the Vikings win their first series of the year.
