Josh Barrows set the NSIC record in te 400-meter hurdles preliminaries at the NSIC Outdoor Championships on Friday. His time of 52.58 edged out Jake Hamik's (Northern State) previous record of 52.60 that he set in 2010. Barrows' time was a personal best and provisionally qualifying mark that ranks 21st in Division II. On Saturday, Barrows claimed the 400-meter hurdles title with a time of 52.76.
