David Foster had a hot shooting touch last week in leading Augustana to a pair of non-conference wins. In the Vikings’ 103-66 win over South Dakota School of Mines and Technology, Foster scored a season-high 19 points on 6 of 11 shooting, including a 4 of 4 effort from 3-point range. He scored 17 points in the first half, making 6 of 8 shots, including all 4 3-point shots. He played just 4 minutes in the second half. Foster followed that up with 16 points in Augustana’s 80-64 win over Dakota State. Again, Foster was 6 of 11 from the field, including 4 of 7 from 3-point range. However, he did make his first 4 shots behind the arc. For the week, Foster averaged 17.5 points, 1.5 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals per game. He shot 54.5 percent from the field and 72.7 percent from 3-point range. He also made all 3 of his free throws.
