Ty Copsey (197 pounds, Jr., Glenwood, Iowa) recorded 2 big wins to help No. 10 Augustana claim a pair of NSIC duals against top 10 opponents. In Augustana’s 25-7 win over No. 8 St. Cloud State, Copsey, ranked No. 2 in the nation, defeated No. 6 Lukas Munkelwitz 7-3 in the opening match of the dual. Then on Saturday, Copsey recorded a 13-1 major decision over Minnesota State’s John Makabe, amassing 4:04 of riding time in the process to go along with a 2-point near fall and a 3-point near fall. Copsey’s win clinched Augustana’s 20-15 victory over No. 4 Minnesota State.
