SIOUX FALLS - Five Augustana College football players were named to the 2003 Academic All-North Central Conference Football First Team, the league office announced. It is the most first team selections for the Vikings since 1978.
Named to the first team on offense are junior quarterback Ryan DeGraff and senior wide receiver Eric Haugland. On defense, senior defensive lineman Kyle Pfeifer, junior linebacker Tom Babb and junior free safety Mike Stotz were named to the team.
In addition, two Vikings received honorable mention recognition. They include juniors Eric Rice and Ryan Ovenden.
