Ian Strum of Sioux Falls, S.D., has signed a national letter of intent to attend Augustana College and play baseball for the Vikings, head baseball coach
Jeff Holm announced today.
Strum is an infielder/pitcher who attended Washington High School and played for the South Dakota Wildcats, a local elite traveling team. In 66 games last season, Strum hit .396. Among his 82 hits, he had 14 doubles, 4 triples and 11 home runs. He also had 44 RBI and 42 walks.
"Ian is an extremely talented individual, both on the field and in the classroom,” Holm said. “This is a tremendous recruit for Augustana Baseball, he's a very gifted player. Most importantly, he is a good person and will work hard in all aspects of his college career."
