Augustana College wrestler
Aaron Graumann has been selected to the CoSIDA Academic All-America College Division Men’s At-Large Third Team, it was announced today.
Graumann, a junior from Sioux Falls, was one of 45 individuals named to one of the three teams. The at-large teams consist of participants from fencing, golf, gymnastics, ice hockey, lacrosse, rifle, skiing, swimming, tennis, men’s volleyball, water polo and wrestling. The College Division is comprised of schools from NCAA Division II and III, as well as NAIA schools.
Graumann, the 38th Augustana student-athlete to earn Academic All-America honors in the last 12 years, has a 3.79 cumulative grade point average and is majoring in chemistry. He was an academic all-district first team selection in 2004 after being a second team selection in 2003.
This past season, Graumann posted a 21-11 record at 125 pounds and earned All-America honors by placing sixth at the NCAA Championships. In the process, he helped the Vikings to a sixth-place finish in the team standings.
Graumann is a three-time NCAA national qualifier and two-time All-American. The 125-pound runner-up at the North Central Conference championships, he has been named to the Division II Wrestling Coaches Association All-Academic First Team the past two seasons.
A member of the Augustana College Dean’s List every semester of his college career, Graumann is also a member of the Augustana Student-Athlete Advisory Committee.
