CSTV/AVCA Top 25 Poll - PreseaThe Augustana College volleyball team is ranked No. 16 in the CSTV/AVCA Division II Coaches Top 25 Preseason Poll, which was released today.
The Vikings went 22-8 overall last season and won a share of the North Central Conference championship. Augustana reached the North Central Regional semifinals in 2003 and finished the season ranked No. 14.
Augustana returns three starters and its primary libero from last year’s squad. Leading that group is junior setter
Angie Hummel, an All-NCC performer a year ago.
The Vikings open the season at the Florida Southern/St. Leo Invitational on August 27-28 in St. Leo, Fla. Augie will face Texas A&M Kingsville, Florida Southern, St. Leo and Valdosta State during the two-day invite.
