2005 Academic All-NCC FootballThree Augustana football players,
Drew Hilgenberg,

Nick Bentele, have been named to the 2005-06 Academic All-North Central Conference football team, as selected by a vote of the league's sports information director.
Hilgenberg is one of nine repeat selections from the 2004-05 squad, while Skibsted and Bentele make their first appearances after earning honorable mention recognition last year.
Hilgenberg, a senior defensive back from Clive, Iowa, maintains a 3.72 grade point average as a business administration major. A team captain, Hilgenberg has 41 tackles and 3 pass break ups this season.
Skibsted is a junior offensive lineman from Storm Lake, Iowa. A mathematics major with a 3.76 grade point average, Skibsted has started all 10 games at center this season. He has helped the Viking offense average 379 yards of total offense this season.
Bentele, a sophomore defensive lineman from Sioux Falls, S.D., is a Spanish major with a 3.63 grade point average. This year Bentele has 21 tackles. Among his tackles are 3.5 tackles for loss, including 2.5 sacks. He also has three blocked kicks, including an extra point in the final 2 minutes to preserve Augie's 17-16 win over Northern State.
