While most of the Augustana cross country teams traveled to Minneapolis, Minn., for Saturday's Roy Griak Invitational, three Viking runners participated in the University of Sioux Falls Cross Country Invitational Friday.
Two Augie men,
John Poppema and
Brandon Peterson ran in the men's race, which was shortened to 7,550 meters. Poppema finished 32nd in a time of 27:28.71, while Peterson was 47th with a time of 29:25.70.
In the women's race,
Sara Reuter finished 37th in the 5,000-meter race with a time of 21:23.33.
Augustana did not factor into the team standings.
