2006 Academic All-NCC
FootFour members of the Augustana football team have been named to the 2006 Academic All-North Central Conference Football Team in a vote of the league's sports information directors. Named to the team were
Nick Skibsted,
Nick Bentele,
Chris Pomerleau and
Nick Ovenden.
Skibsted and Bentele are among nine repeat selections to the team, while Pomerleau and Ovenden were named to the squad for the first time.
Skibsted is a senior offensive lineman from Storm Lake, Iowa. A team captain, Skibsted maintains a 3.76 grade point average while majoring in mathematics.
Bentele is a junior defensive lineman from Sioux Falls, S.D. A business administration major, Skibsted has a 3.75 GPA.
Pomerleau, a senior wide receiver, is from Council Bluffs, Iowa. He has a 3.50 grade point average as a psychology major.
Ovenden is a senior linebacker from Sioux Falls. A team captain, he holds a 3.21 grade point average as an exercise science major.
