Augustana's football team came together in the Elmen Center prior to the start of spring football drills for the 2nd Annual Viking Olympics.
Designed as the final testing of Augustana's offseason conditioning program, Viking players participated in a series of different events. Billed as an annual event, Viking Olympics stresses the importance of camradery, leadership and unity as well as athletic performance.
A major focus of Viking Olympics is the spirit of competition by putting the offense vs. the defense by position. The Viking players must compete at the highest level in order to gain a win for their team.
The Olympics culminated with a show of strength as the players compete in a tug of war.
When the points were totaled at the end of the day, the defense came out on top.
