Augustana crowned two All-Americans at the NCAA Division II Outdoor Track & Field Championships in Emporia, Kan.
Jen Buyske and
Becky Schulz both placed in the top eight to earn All-American honors.
Buyske, a sophomore from Shelby, Mont., placed sixth in the javelin. The defending national champion in the event, Buyske had a best throw of 150-06.0 to earn All-American honors for the second time in her career. Holly Noller of Southern Illinois-Edwardsville won the event wtih a throw of 160-04.0.
Schulz, a junior from Westbrook, Minn., cleared 5-05.25 to tie for eighth place along with Jessica Trautwein of Minnesota State-Moorhead. Lesley Crutcher of Nebraska-Kearney won the high jump with a leap of 5-09.25. It was the fourth time Schulz has earned All-American honors. She now has two outdoor All-American certificates to go with two indoor All-American certificates.
