Jen Buyske finished 17th in the javelin at the USA Track and Field Championships Friday night at Indianapolis, Ind.
Buyske, a Shelby, Mont., native, had a best throw of 125-05 for her 17th-place finish. Buyske, the 2005 NCAA Division II national champion in the javelin, was one of two Division II competitors in the 17-person field. Holly Noller of Southern Illinois-Edwardswille, the 2006 Division II national champion, was 16th with a mark of 133-06.
Kim Kreiner, competing for the Nike Track Club, won the event with a mark of 204-10.
"Jen didn't have her best day," Augustana head track and field coach
Tracy Hellman said. "But the experience that she was able to gain from competing in this meet will be very beneficial for her down the road."
